Southern Africa’s Premier Fishing Competition

The Crockango Bonanza, held from 29 April to 2 May,  is one of the biggest and most exciting fishing competitions in Southern Africa, drawing anglers from all corners of the region. 

With entries for the Crockango Bonanza closing on Monday, 14 April 2025, teams have to hurry to secure their spot and get a chance to win their share of a staggering prize pool of up to N$1 million!

The Crockango Bonanza, held from 29 April to 2 May 2025, is one of the biggest and most exciting fishing competitions in Southern Africa, drawing anglers from all corners of the region. 

It is held annually on Namibia's breathtaking Okavango River, celebrating the spirit of adventure, community and the rich natural beauty of the area.

Teams

The Crockango Bonanza is a fiercely contested competition, with 50 teams participating in the quest for glory and prizes. 

These teams, made up of skilled anglers from all over Southern Africa, will partake in the competition. It features various categories and challenges, ensuring that every team, from the seasoned professional to the passionate amateur, has a chance to shine.

As the event progresses, anglers will need to utilize their best techniques, patience, and local knowledge of the Okavango River to reel in the biggest catches. 

Every successful catch brings them closer to the prizes, making the stakes high and the competition fierce.

While the Crockango Bonanza is centered around fishing, it’s much more than just a contest for anglers. The event is designed to offer something for everyone, with plenty of entertainment for families and children.
